Introduction to the lab
Since construction can be done with the system only if there is a certificate certified by a professional organization, we interpret the laws related to fire-resistant filling structures. We are conducting research on fire-resistant fill structure systems using various fire-resistant fillers. We design a fire-resistant charging structure system using products available on the market, and conduct performance verification experiments through self-testing to see how effective the product is. Finally, a certification test is requested from a professional organization to obtain fire-resistant filling structure certification. Since there are various types of fire-resistant charging structure systems for each structure, our research institute We are continuously researching the most suitable system.
What is fire-resistant filling structure?
“Dictionary definition”
This is to prevent flames or toxic gases from rapidly spreading to adjacent rooms or floors when a fire breaks out in a building.
“Reformative Justice”
In Article 2 (Definition) of the ‘Standards for Recognition and Management of Fire-Resistant Structures’ of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Notification No. 2015-843 (notified on November 25, 2015), ‘fire-resistant filling structures’ refer to horizontal and vertical facility penetrations of fire compartments. A material or system whose performance has been confirmed as a result of testing in accordance with the procedures, methods, and standards set forth in the ‘Detailed Operation Guidelines’ under Article 21 to prevent the spread of fire through gaps such as parts, joints, and curtain walls and the floor.

Definition and performance standards of fire-resistant filling structures
<Article 2, Paragraph 7, Standards for Recognition and Management of Fire Resistant Structures>
“Fire-resistant filling structure” refers to the prevention of fire spread through gaps such as horizontal and vertical equipment penetrations, joints, and curtain walls of fire compartments and the floor, and is a procedure stipulated in the “Detailed Operation Guidelines” under Article 21. It refers to a material or system whose performance has been confirmed as a result of testing in accordance with the methods and standards.
<Article 21, Standards for Recognition and Management of Fire-Resistant Filling Structures>
Performance must be secured as a result of testing in accordance with the procedures, methods, and standards set forth in the ‘Detailed Operation Guidelines for Fire Resistant Filling Structures’. The need for a professional construction company
< Framework Act on Construction Industry, Article 16, Paragraph 2 >
Anyone who wishes to receive a contract for specialized construction work must register the business that carries out the specialized construction work.
However, in any of the following cases, a contract may be received without registering the business carrying out the specialized construction work.

research and development
Basic science research
Seoyong Co., Ltd.’s affiliated research institute was established as a corporate research institute in February 2018 in order to improve the quality of research in the basic science field, which is the basis of applied science, and strives to play a role in the development of science and technology by educating and training new talents. .
Research on fire-resistance filling structures of buildings
In modern architecture, the construction of high-rise, multi-purpose buildings is increasing for the purpose of efficient use of space and creation of high added value.
In the construction of these buildings, the limits of public firefighting power are clear, and the self-reliance of the self-disaster prevention system is an important requirement. Securing fire resistance performance that can prevent and delay the spread of flames, which is one of the causes of the spread of fire, is an essential requirement in the event of a fire.
The vulnerable part of the fire compartment penetration part, that is, the fire-resistant filling structure, must be managed to ensure fire resistance performance and maintain continuous performance through thorough design and correct construction.
In this field, our research center will take the lead in disseminating technology at construction sites by identifying areas that need to be comprehensively improved in all areas of fire-resistant and filled structures, including design-related, construction-related, and product technology-related, and conducting research to solve problems and develop new construction methods. .

Shift – Left
In addition to the fire resistance performance of fire-resistant filling structures, we research monitoring systems in the field of building safety to develop technologies that can prevent/block problems in advance rather than dealing with them after they occur, that is, by discovering and resolving problems one step ahead of the current research stage to reduce risks ahead of time. We will strive to develop technology to block the source.
